My name is Jaimee Wilson

Jaimee Ann Wilson, known professionally as DJEZii, moved to Toronto at the age of 19, where she quickly became immersed in the city's vibrant music scene. Spending hours in local record shops, she networked her way into event coordination, eventually collaborating with turntablists to launch a DJ course for underprivileged teens. Her volunteer work at Ryerson CIUT exposed her to some of Toronto's top DJs, further fueling her passion.

Jaimee soon expanded her creative pursuits to breakdancing, securing sponsorships from major brands like Nike, Puma, and Adidas. These partnerships allowed her to teach, tour, appear in music videos, and perform at various showcases. After a break from her career to raise her children, Jaimee reignited her passion for DJing in 2015, embracing digital technology and learning Serato with a new controller from Play De Record.

She began performing at local bars and house parties, gaining experience and eventually securing a residency at Poetry Jazz Cafe in Kensington Market. Jaimee's growing reputation led her to perform at major events like Soulshine Festival, VELD, Chocolate Groove, Orphan Burn, Blue Mountain, and the Gay Pride Parade. She also enjoyed a two-month residency at The View in Punta Cana, further honing her craft.

In 2021, during the pandemic, Jaimee innovated with The Gigabike Toronto project, a three-wheel mobile stage for street performances, which quickly gained popularity in Kensington Market. The project's success solidified her presence in the Toronto music scene. In 2022, she joined Mastermix DJ Services, playing at weddings and corporate events throughout the summer.

Jaimee's latest venture is Allovus, a DJ band she formed with Danny Drums, an Egyptian percussionist, and Serge Nikol, a Spanish guitarist. Over the past two years, Allovus has performed numerous shows and is currently working on an album set for release in 2024. As a DJ, I love collaborating with a diverse group of talented artists to create a truly unique and immersive experience. Teaming up with Spanish guitarist Serge Nikol, Egyptian percussionist Danny Drums, saxophonist Neil Brathwaite, live painter Jessgo, and Roped Artists, a mesmerizing fire spinner. Our performances are a captivating blend of sound, visuals, and movement. My electronic beats provide the foundation, while Serge’s melodic guitar, Danny’s dynamic percussion, and Neil’s smooth saxophone harmonize to create a rich, layered sound. Jessgo paints live, capturing the mood and rhythm on canvas, while Roped Artists adds an exhilarating visual element with their fire spinning, enhancing the atmosphere with flames that dance in time with the music. Together, we craft an unforgettable sensory experience that captivates the audience and makes every show a unique piece of art.
